Happy Birthday Kincade!

Happy Birthday to my baby Kincade. He's 2 and officially a toddler, not a baby, but still my baby!

Kincade is a funny boy. He's still talking in last syllables. Bridger is "er." Kellen is "eun." Giraffe is "affe." He's known how to pose and say "cheese" for the camera for several months. He still loves his mama, but isn't quite so attached anymore. He adores his big brothers, but still gets jealous if they get too much of mama's attention. He's a good sleeper, still sleeping about 12 hours at night and taking a nap for several hours most days. He hates his carseat and only wants to sit in Bridger's carseat. Fine, unless Bridger wants to sit in his own seat. Then we have to cajole, encourage, bribe, force one of them into the other seat. He did bite Bridger so hard that Bridger had bloody toothmarks and a huge bruise for days (and it was on Bridger's butt so I guess he got some revenge on Kincade!). We're hoping that's the end of his biting phase!

Kincade is a thoughtful child. He's starting to really get along with other children his age and actually want to play with them. When he was opening his presents for Christmas and his birthday, he started making this surprised noise - like sucking in air but before he even saw what it was. So hilarious.

He loves balls, his new polar bear, copying his brothers, and getting and giving ear kisses. He isn't a very picky eater - he likes to try most things and enjoys Grandma's chili, carrots, whole apples, cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese, chips, crackers, chicken nuggets, pizza, steak, and A1 sauce. He loves to brush his teeth (especially with his new electric toothbrush).

Sometimes he tries not to smile. If someone's teasing him or tickling him or something, you can see him holding back a smile because for some reason he doesn't want to give in to it/you. One of the reasons "goof" is one of his nicknames, along with "monkey" and "love."

We love you Kincade-Boy! Looking forward to a fun and cute 2-year-old!
