TO ME! Jared got me tickets to see Les Miserables for Christmas. But the show wasn't until last night. So, he took me out for a night on the town. After quite a few obstacles for dinner, we finally ended up at Red Lobster. Everything was really yummy. But we were running behind on time, so Jared had to take his steak a little underdone (and by a little, I mean A LOT). He was a good sport about eating something that appeared to still have a beating heart.
And, then, on to Phoenix Theatre for the show. It was an amazing production. It is absolutely my favorite musical/play/show. The story is beautiful and the songs are amazingly emotional/touching. We were impressed with the whole production. I believe we both teared up a bit too (or, as Jared calls it, cried like little girls).
My wonderful mother-in-law watched the boys while we went out and she kept them ALL NIGHT! I can't say enough "thank yous" to her for that. She said they were great and that it was fun, but I honestly have my doubts. I mean, I know my boys.

Mom is wonderful! I don't think grandmas see the flaws in their grandchildren. I know I don't plan to. I am glad you had a great time. I am jealous. I saw that play years ago with my Grandma Smith. We cried too.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! I'm jealous. And how great of Mom to watch the boys.
ReplyDeleteLove that play. How fun that you had an entire night without the boys!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to see that again and was wondering about how the Phx theater would do with such a big production, I'm glad you had a good time maybe we'll just have to go too!
